Irish Association of Funeral Directors

About
The Irish Association of Funeral Directors (IAFD) was established in 1979 to promote excellence in funeral directing and to foster cooperation between members, which would enable them to ultimately provide a better service to their clients. IAFD members conduct 80% of funerals on the island of Ireland. The Association is consulted by government, local authorities, media, interest groups and the general public on matters relating to funerals. IAFD has an established Code of Practice which must be adhered to by all of its members.
The Brief
The client wished to have a revamp of the existing IAFD platform. The members directory would be searchable and easy to use and the site would also offer member-only articles and a Stripe integration form for easy online payments.
What we did
Dmac Media have designed a Dmac CMS v3 platform with new members directory to the specifications required by the client and in a new, clean design. The members can be searched by a form or by choosing a selection on a map. The website was developed with two user dashboards, one is for Staff and one for Board Members. An article manager was added where admins can post news items and blog posts for members only or for the general public. The imagery was updated to appear lighter and more uplifting. A number of content pages were built including a landing page with a breakdown of all member associates, and this was further split into categories. A range of custom icons were designed to showcase the members benefits. The site looks good, and works well across all devices and meets all the clients criteria.
