To provide customers with a quick and easy look up system. The target market is made up primarily of trade professionals ie Gas Engineers and Plumbers. These should arrive on the site and quickly navigate to the product category required. The typical end user will shop by product type first and then by brand. Wholesale options should also be available to account holders.
To make all categories visible all the time, we implemented two category menus. A quick look up menu in the website header displays the popular categories. A left hand menu shows a more detailed breakdown of all the categories. We provided a trade login feature so wholesale customers can login and see information tailored to them.
